IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO FLUIDISED BED COMBUSTION APPARATUS Abstract of the Disclosure A fluidised bed combustion apparatus includes a vessel having a support means for a bed of fluidisable combustible materials, an inlet for a flow of fluidising and combustion gas, an outlet for a flow of heated gas and gas swirling means located in the vessel between the fluidisable bed and the outlet from the vessel. The gas swirling means may consist of a plurality of vanes extending between the wall of the vessel and a central support.
