New refrigerant media for use in refrigeration circuits as a replacement for chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in view of reducing risks in connection with environmental pollution and ozone depletion in the stratosphere. Said new refrigerant media are azeotropic mixtures of isobutane (R600a) and a fluorinated hydrocarbon in a percentage ranging from 5 to 50 percent and 50 to 95 percent, respectively.

L'invention concerne des nouveaux milieux réfrigérants destinés à être utilisés dans des circuits de réfrigération en remplacement des chlorofluorocarbones (CFC), en vue de réduire les risques liés à la pollution de l'environnement et à la raréfaction de l'ozone dans la stratosphère. Ces nouveaux milieux réfrigérants sont des mélanges azéotropes d'isobutane (R600a) et d'un hydrocarbone fluoré dans un pourcentage respectif se situant entre 5 et 50 pour-cent et entre 50 et 95 pour-cent.
