ABSTRACT Aminoglycomide antibotics, especially gentamicin, in biological fluid samples are assayed fluori- metrically by mixing the sample with a fluorescent- labelled compound and with antibodies. The fluor- escence of the compound is reduced when the compound binds with the antibodies, and by measuring the fluorescence of the mixture, the amount of antibiotic in the sample can be determined.
