PHA 21.623 06.05.1991 ABSTRACT: Fluorescent lamp with three-lead stem and grounded electrode guard. A metallic conductive link between the metallic electrode guard and one lamp pin in a fluorescent lamp maintains the electrode and the metallic electrode guard at substantially the same electrical potential in order to reduce lamp power dissipation. The metallic conductive link is a lead-in wire physically connected from the metallic electrode guard to one lamp pin.
