A lantern includes a fluorescent tube light and an auxiliary incandescent light. The incandescent light is covered by a colored lens. A control knob operates a switch in electrical connection with an electric power source, the fluorescent tube light, and the incandescent light, with the control knob being operable between a "first" or off position in which both lights are off, a "second" position in which the incandescent light is on and the fluorescent light is off, and a "third" position in which the incandescent light is off and the fluorescent light is on.

L'invention concerne une lanterne comprenant un tube fluorescent et une ampoule auxiliaire à incandescence. La lampe à incandescence est couverte d'un diffuseur coloré. Un bouton de commande fait fonctionner un commutateur raccordé électriquement à une source d'alimentation électrique, au tube fluorescent et à l'ampoule à incandescence. Le commutateur peut passer d'une « première » position ou position d'arrêt où les deux lampes sont éteintes, à une « deuxième » position où la lampe à incandescence est allumée et le tube fluorescent éteint, à une « troisième » position où la lampe à incandescence est éteinte et le tube fluorescent allumé.
