A fluorescent substance for EL, which internally contains an electrically conductive phase containing a carbon component such as a carbon nanotube or a carbon nanohorn, is provided. The fluorescent substance internally containing an electrically conductive phase is a sulfide composed mainly of Ag- or Cu- activated ZnS, particularly a fluorescent substance of general formula Zn(1- x)AxS:Ag/Cu,D wherein A represents at least one group 2A element selected from the group consisting of Be, Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba; D represents a coactivator and is at least one element selected from the group consisting of group 3B and 7B elements; and 0 <= x < 1, or an amorphous oxynitride-based fluorescent substance of a B-N-O, Si-O-N, Al-O-N, Ga-O-N, Al-Ga-O-N, In-Ga-O-N, or In-Al-O- N system activated with a rare earth ion such as Eu2+, Gd3+, or Yb2+. A surface luminous body prepared by the above fluorescent body can provide a particle dispersion-type EL device which emits high-luminescence intensity ultraviolet light or visible light close thereto by electric field excitation through the internal incorporation of the electrically conductive phase.

L'invention concerne une substance fluorescente pour dispositif électroluminescent qui comprend de manière interne une phase conductrice d'électricité renfermant un composant de carbone, tel qu'un nanotube de carbone ou une nanocorne de carbone. La substance fluorescente contenant internement une phase conductrice d'électricité est un sulfure composé principalement de Zns activé par Ag ou Cu, notamment, une substance fluorescente de formule générale Zn(1-x)AxS:Ag/Cu,D. Dans ladite formule, A représente au moins un élément du groupe 2A sélectionné parmi le groupe englobant Be, Mg, Ca, Sr et Ba, D représente un co-activateur et constitue au moins un élément sélectionné parmi le groupe englobant des éléments de groupes 3B et 7B et, 0<x<1, ou une substance fluorescente à base d'oxynitrure amorphe d'un système B-N-O, Si-O-N, Al-O-N, Ga-O-N, Al-Ga-O-N, In-Ga-O-N ou In-Al-O-N activé par un ion de terres rares, tel que Eu2+, Gd3+ ou Yb2+. Un corps lumineux superficiel préparé par ledit corps fluorescent susmentionné peut produire un dispositif électroluminescent de type à dispersion particulaire qui émet une lumière ultraviolette d'intensité de luminescence élevée ou une lumière visible par excitation du champ électrique au moyen de l'incorporation interne de la phase conductrice d'électricité.
