A method for polymerizing fluorine-containing ethylenically-unsaturated monomer and allylic-hydrogen containing olefin monomer is provided. The method involves the use of fluoroaliphatic-group containing sulfinate. Novel polymers are also disclosed, comprising interpolymerized units derived from tetrafluoroethylene and allylic-hydrogen containing olefin, for example, propylene.

L'invention concerne un procédé de polymérisation de monomères éthyléniquement insaturés contenant du fluor et de monomères oléfiniques contenant de l'hydrogène allylique. Le procédé consiste à utiliser un sulfinate contenant un groupe fluoroaliphatique. De nouveaux polymères sont également décrits et comprennent des unités inter-polymérisées dérivées de tétrafluoroéthylène et d'oléfines contenant de l'hydrogène allylique, tel que le propylène.
