ABSTRACT A fluosolid reactor for producing metallic sulphates having a cylindrical reaction chamber vertically positioned at one end of a furnace. A feeder conduit with a auger internally disposed and driven by a motor introduces a mixture of metallic sulphides, the corresponding metallic sulphates, and ammonium sulphate into the reaction chamber. A per- forated plate is attached to the inside walls of the reaction chamber in the lower portion thereof whereupon the mixture lodges to be directly heated by products of combustion of a heating fuel produced by the furnace. -1-
