Described herein is a flux cored wire for use in stainless steel welding, the wire having a flux filled in a stainless steel sheath, the flux containing, on the basis of the total weight of the wire, 4.7-8.5% of TiO2, 0.5-3.5% of Al2O3 and 0.6-3.0% of SiO2 and/or ZrO2 in proportions satisfying the following formula TiO2 > Al2O3 + SiO2 + ZrO2 and further 0.02-0.25% of metal fluoride (in terms of F conversion value) and 0.1-1.0% of Ti. Desirably, the flux contains slag-forming components in a restricted range of 8.5-13.5% and in proportions satisfying the following formula Al2O3 + SiO2 + ZrO2 ~ 5.0%.

Fil tubulaire fourré de flux employé dans le soudage à l'acier inoxydable; le fil renferme un flux constitué de 4,7 à 8,5 % de TiO2 par rapport au poids total du fil, de 0,5 à 3,5 % de Al2O3 par rapport au poids total et de 0,6 à 3,0 % de Si02 par rapport au poids total du fil, ainsi que de ZrO2 respectant les proportions stoechiométriques de la formule suivante : TiO2 > Al2O3 + SiO2 + ZrO2 et, en plus, de 0,02 % à 0,25 % de fluorure métallique (valeur de conversion du F) et entre 0,1 et 1,0 % de Ti. Il est souhaitable que le flux renferme des composantes qui permettent la formation d'un laitier dans une proportion restreinte de 8,5 à 13,5 % et respectant les proportions stoechiométriques de la formule suivante : Al2O3 + SiO2 + ZrO2 ~ 5,0 %.
