- 9 - INSECT CATCHING DEVICE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A canister includes a perforated base portion and a screened upper portion with an apertured floor therebetween. A relatively fine-screen cone engages around the aperture in the floor and extends upwardly into the upper portion. The upper end of said cone is open thereby defining a relatively small aperture through the upper end thereof. The apertures in the base portion are preferrably punched inwardly through the wall thereby presenting a substantially star-shaped jagged internal configuration which prevents insects from escaping. Instead they migrate upwardly through the cone into the upper portion and are trapped within the upper portion.
