A non-reciprocating internal combustion engine is disclosed as comprising a split combustion chamber arrangement whereby said combustion chamber is formed partially in the stator and partially in the rotor. Expansion and energy transfer are assisted with vanes and an expansion chamber associated with rotor combustion chamber. Intake, compression, and exhaust functions of engine are performed substantially with compressed air generated from engine output power.
