ABSTRACT A light duty liquid detergent containing about 0.1 to 0.6 % of a nonionic hydroxypropyl guar gum derivative as the foam enhancing agent in an aqueous solution containing a maximum of 40%, preferably less than 35% of the ternary surfactant system comprising C8-C18 alkyl ethenoxy ether sulfate, C8-C18 alkyl sulfate and a betaine. The detergent has improved foam stability, cleaning efficiency and consistency with reduced amounts of detergent active ingredients.
