"FOAM-LIKE FERROMAGNETIC PACKING FOR CLARIFIERS" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is disclosed an apparatus and a method suitable for separating magnetisable particles from a fluid containing them. The apparatus comprises a separating chamber provided with an inlet and an outlet for the fluid, and contains ferromagnetic material in the form of a foam-like material comprising interconnected voids. Means are also provided for establishing a high intensity magnetic field in the region of the ferromagnetic material contained in the chamber. - 1 -
