A foam sign made from a laminated substrate and several cut-outs die cut from the substrate. The laminated substrate contains a foam layer with a thickness of from about 0.5 to about 3.0 inches, wherein the foam has a density of from about 1.2 to about 2.0 pounds per square foot; the substrate also contains a plastic sheet adhesively joined to the foam layer, wherein the plastic sheet has a thickness of from about 0.007 to about 0.03 inches; and the laminated substrate also has several cavities designed to receive the cut-outs. The cut-outs are disposed within such cavities such that the top surfaces of the cut-outs are either above or below the top surfaces of the laminated substrate.

Cette invention concerne un signe en mousse constitué par un substrat laminé dans lequel plusieurs découpes ont été réalisées. Ce substrat laminé comprend une couche de mousse d'une épaisseur comprise entre 0,5 et 3,0 pouce environ, et d'une densité comprise entre 1,2 et 2,0 livres par pied carré environ. Ledit substrat comporte également une feuille plastique collée sur la couche de mousse, dont l'épaisseur se situe entre 0,007 et 0,03 pouces. Le substrat laminé présente par ailleurs plusieurs cavités dans lesquelles viennent se loger les découpes. Ces découpes se trouvent soit au-dessus, soit au-dessous des surfaces supérieures du substrat laminé.
