ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of preparing a foamed article from a foam body of polyester resin and skin of glass fibers saturated with polyester resin. The method comprises defining a space by forming glass fiber reinforced skin saturated with a relatively slow curing polyester resin mix on the surface of a mold. A foam body is prepared from a mix including relatively fast curing polyester resin. The foam body is introduced into the space whereby heat generated by hardening of the fast curing foam body will accelerate the hardening of the polyester resin saturated skin improved cross-linking between the skin polyester resin and foam body polyester resin taking place.
