An air bag igniter including a foamed material, and an air bag assembly containing the same are disclosed. The foamed material is formed from a composition including, as ingredients, a polyfunctional isocyanate, a polymeric binder having a plurality of hydroxyl groups which are reactive with the polyfunctional isocyanate, a fuel source, an oxidizer, and a foaming agent which may or may not be retained in the foamed material.
Cette invention se rapporte à un allumeur pour airbag, qui contient un matériau moussé, et à un ensemble airbag utilisant un tel allumeur. Le matériau moussé est formé à partir d'une composition renfermant, comme ingrédients, un isocyanate polyfonctionnel, un liant polymère comportant plusieurs groupes hydroxyle réagissant avec l'isocyanate polyfonctionnel, une source de combustible, un oxydant, et un agent moussant retenu ou non retenu dans le matériau moussé.
