Abstract A foil bag with a slot-shaped filling hole is described, said filling hole being defined by foil edges, which abut on each other and which are adapted to be interconnected for the purpose of closing the filling hole. In order to be able to fill such a foil bag more simply and with less complicated technical means, it is suggested that a re- inforcing element should be arranged beside one end of the slot-shaped filling hole and in line with the direction of the slot.
