ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for the production of an electrical insulating foil com- prising substantially a thin-layer of electrical grade mica powder and a hardenable synthetic resin comprising forming a paste of electrical grade mica and a hardenable synthetic resin and optional fillers and/or reinforcement materials, forming a strand of said paste and subjecting the pasty strand to a calender or ribbon press to reduce the strand thickness into a thin-layer.
