In regards to the traditional badminton racket, it is known that the racket is difficult to transport since the shaft is lengthy and obtrusive. In many cases, a separate bag is needed to protect the racket while in transit from one location to the next. In this invention, the badminton racket shaft is replaced with a folding shaft to allow the badminton racket to fit into smaller spaces. The shaft will consist of two segments, supported on the interior with an elastic material to keep both segments connected. Before use, a sturdy fastening mechanism will lock the two segments together longitudinally in order to form one shaft. An additional support will slide to cover the shaft joint and lock both shaft segments in place.
