ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A foldable aluminum ladder has a pair of ladder sec- tions each formed of a pair of rigid rails joined by rigid rungs. The sections are hinged together at an exis in line with the edges of the rails so that, when folded, the rails of the sections lie against one another. The rungs are interleaved in the folded position, and are of a depth substantially equal to the sum of the depths of the rails. Pivotable hangers are provided at the ends of the rails of the top section.
