A B S T R A C T This invention is a foldaway barbecue consisting of a tripod to the legs of which is removably attached, by means of chains, a pan which serves as a firepot. Above the firepot pan is detachably suspended, by means of chains, a wire mesh grill; these chains being, in turn, attached to a grill height adjusting chain which passes over a pulley at the top of the tripod, the free end of which slides freely upon one of the tripod legs, and can be fixed in position by means of a quick release locking device.
