ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A slide fastener stringer includes a continuous coupling element and a longitudinally folded tape, con- volitions of the tapes extending through slits in the tape that extend across the folded edge. The opposite strip portions of the tape are joined adjacent the element by overedge stitching which also engages the coupling element.
