ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: This invention proposes an improved baby carriage which can be folded in width and shortened in height so as to be easily carried on a person's arm like an umbrella. This foldable baby carriage which is of the type consisting of foldable four legged frame supporting a chair and comprising a crosspiece or spider, the ends of which are integral with an equal number of pieces or sleeves, the upper ones sliding on the handles and the lower ones on the front legs of the carriage, and a knob located at the centre with respect to the upper sleeves and connected thereto by means of two tie rods, the arms of said crosspiece thus being moved apart like an "X" or being moved closer to each other by downwardly or upwardly pushing said knob, and the upper sleeves sliding upwardly and the lower ones downwardly or vice versa thus enabling to shorten or extend in height the baby carriage, which carriage is characterized in that it presents a second crosspiece two pairs of ends, the upper ends being hinged to the rear legs of the baby carriage and the lower ends being hinged to two tie rods, said rods being also hinged to the rear legs.
