A garden swing seat remarkable in that it includes a rectangular frame (2) with tubular members (2.1, 2.2) forming the longitudinal and horizontal sides and defining a ground-engaging section (2.1.a) and an upper section (2.1.b) hingedly supporting a canopy (C); in that the turned-up ends (2.1.c, 2.2.c) of the members (2.1, 2.2) are rotatably engaged by intermediate tubes (3) to form the lateral and transverse sides of the frame; in that L-shaped profile members (4) are secured to the intermediate tubes (3) via a connecting section (4.1) while ground-engaging portions (4.2, 4.3) extend from the bottom ends of said profile members; and in that the seat portion (6) consists of a rectangular tubular cradle which is pivotable relative to L-shaped load-bearing arms (7) hanging from the frame (2), said seat portion (6) being restrictedly pivotably movable relative to the arms and provided with a canvas or the like forming a hammock.
