A high chair comprising a seat (4), a backrest (3), a footrest (5), a crotch post (11), which is journalled in the chair for piv-oting between a raised user position in front of the back rest and a lowered position, and a table (13) arranged on the crotch post (11), wherein the side (91) of the table (13) facing the back rest, when the crotch post is in a user position, together with the back rest forms a substantially closed formation (92) for safekeeping of a child in the chair and wherein the table (13) in the lowered position of the crotch post is arranged to lie beyond the up-per surface of the seat (4) and beyond at least part of the upper surface of the foot rest (5).
L'invention concerne une chaise haute comprenant un siège (4), un dossier (3), un repose-pied (5), un montant d'entrejambe (11) qui est tourillonné dans la chaise pour pivoter entre une position d'utilisation levée à l'avant du dossier et une position abaissée, et une tablette (13) qui est disposée sur le montant d'entrejambe (11). Selon l'invention, la face (91) de la tablette (13) située en face du dossier lorsque le montant d'entrejambe se trouve dans la position d'utilisation, forme, avec le dossier, une structure sensiblement fermée (92) de manière à maintenir en sécurité un enfant assis dans la chaise.
