A folding support device, including a first base piece having a first end; a second base piece having a second end; at least one protrusion on at least one of the first or second base pieces; and a support piece with a third end pivotably connected to the first and second ends. In a support position the support piece rests on the at least one protrusion and is at least partially misaligned with the first and second base pieces. In a storage position the support piece is disposed between the first and second base pieces and the first and second base pieces and the support piece are substantially aligned. In a preferred embodiment, the support piece includes a top surface and a notch in the top surface and in the storage position the at least one protrusion is at least partially disposed in the notch.
