This invention provides superactive analogs of FSH demonstrating enhanced bioactivity both in vitro and in vivo as compared to wild type FSH. In particular, the analogs of the invention demonstrate at least a ten fold increase in potency or at least a ten percent increase in maximal efficacy as compared to wild type protein. The analogs are particularly useful for treating subjects showing low FSH receptor expression or poor FSH receptor responsiveness, and for the treatment of any condition associated with glycoprotein hormone activity.
L'invention concerne des analogues superactifs de FSH démontrant une bioactivité améliorée, à la fois in vitro et in vivo, par comparaison avec un FSH de type sauvage. En particulier, les analogues de l'invention démontrent au moins une croissance décuplée en puissance ou au moins une augmentation de 10 pour cent en efficacité maximale par comparaison avec une protéine de type sauvage. Les analogues sont utilisés en particulier pour traiter des sujets présentant une faible expression du récepteur FSH ou une faible sensibilité au récepteur FSH, et pour traiter des états pathologiques associés à l'activité de l'hormone de la glycoprotéine.
