FOLLOW-VP CONTROL APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING THE MOVEMENT OF A WELDING WEAVING DEVICE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus for follow-up controlling the weaving movement of a weaving device in consumable electrode type arc welding, in which welding currents at both ends of the left and right side of the weaving motion of the torch with respect to a welding line are detected and compared. If the detected welding currents are not equal, the weaving device mounting the torch is shifted either to the left or right with respect to the welding line depending upon which of the welding currents is larger until the detected welding currents become equal to each other.
