ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Food bags for high temperature sterilization wherein a bag film is provided with the interior surface layer being formed of a material such that components of the material which are transferred into the packaged foods during the high temperature sterilization treatment are held to only extremely small amounts and within prescribed limits. The film is sealed into bag form by the provision of a heat-sealable resin layer which is either formed from web material or by electrostatic powder deposition. Several forms of bags are suggested.
