The present invention relates to the field of cooking utensils. A novel handle for a cooking utensil is provided to address the need to determine the temperature of the utensil for specific cooking purposes. The handle is generally made of a material with low heat conductivity. The handle includes a section of high heat conductivity in contact with the utensil and another section comprising thermo-chromatic means to display information related to the temperature of the cooking surface of the utensil. The thermal chromatic means are in the form of a plurality of labels having different shapes and being coated with thermal chromatic pigments of different thermal sensitivities. Each of the shapes is associated with a different thermal sensitivity of which the respected pigment changes colour. A selected one of the labels is mounted on one of the fire stop device and the handle.
Nouveau genre de queue d'ustensile de cuisine qui répond au besoin de déterminer la température de l'ustensile à des fins culinaires précises. La queue est généralement faite d'un matériau ayant une faible conductivité thermique. La queue comprend une section de conductivité thermique élevée en contact avec l'ustensile, ainsi qu'une autre section, qui comprend un dispositif thermochromatique qui affiche l'information concernant la température de la surface de cuisson de l'ustensile. Le dispositif thermochromatique consiste en plusieurs étiquettes de différentes formes qui sont enduites de pigments thermochromatiques de sensibilités thermiques différentes.
