- 1 - Abstract: The invention provides a food frying apparatus and an electrical heating unit therefore The apparatus comprises a container for the fat or oil to be used for frying At least one heating unit is provided comprising a sleeve of heat conductive material and an elongated electrical heat- ing element which fits into the sleeve. The heating unit is located adjacent to the container wall on the outside thereof. The location of the heating elements in sleeves makes the elements easily interchangeable should they become damaged or defective. Further, by locating the heating units outside the container, the inner container surface is easy to clean.
