Food packaging (31) is disclosed which can be in the form of a sealable tray (30) having a plastics film liner (51). The liner is applied under differential air pressure, for example positive pressure and/or a vacuum, and following heating of the film. The resultant tacking film sticks to the tray (30), only sufficiently to hold togetheri in use. After use the tray and film can be split readily. The film is heated and domed away from the tray prior to applying the air pressure, to stretch it and assist in its application into the tray (30). A method for producing such a food packaging is also disclosed.

Linvention concerne un emballage alimentaire (31) pouvant prendre la forme dune barquette hermétiquement fermée (30) munie dun revêtement de film plastique (51). Le revêtement est appliqué sous pression dair différentielle, par exemple sous pression positive et/ou sous vide, après chauffage du film. Le film collant ainsi obtenu adhère à la barquette (30), suffisamment pour que le film et la barquette demeurent solidaires lors de lutilisation. Après utilisation, la barquette et le film peuvent être facilement séparés. Le film est chauffé et bombé à lécart de la barquette préalablement à lapplication de la pression dair, ce qui permet détirer ledit film et de faciliter son application sur ladite barquette (30).
