The invention pertains to a food processor (1) with a mixing vessel (10) and a drive mechanism (75) for an agitator (70) in the mixing vessel (10), where the mixing vessel (10) can be heated in its lower region (65) and held in a narrowly enclosing seat (13) that has a substantially cylindrical wall region. To improve the design of this type of food processor (1) so that heat is transmitted evenly and the mixing vessel can be removed easily after the food processor (1) has been used, the invention proposes that the cylindrical wall region can be adjusted to change its diameter and thus ensure a flexible nonpositive fixture of the mixing vessel (10).
