ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A foot-supporting insole is made of a resiliently flexible material of substantially constant thickness over its entire area, the insole being curved upwardly at the inside of the foot for supporting the arch of the foot and having a stiffness at least at the outside zone of the foot. The insole extends from the heel zone up to an S-shaped front bounding line which extends generally obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the foot and substantially perpendicular to the inner and outer edges of the insole at both its start and end such that the S- shaped bounding line passes in front of the ball of the little toe at the outside of the foot and behind the ball of the big toe on the inside of the foot, whereby during rolling motion when walking the foot is turned towards the big toe.
