A boot comprising a sole (24) with an upper which includes an asymmetrical medial (22) and lateral quarter (20). Strategically located pads (44, 46, 48, 50, 52) are provided on the inner of the upper on opposite sides of the metatarsal in the vamp area and around the ankle. Flexible compressible inserts (21, 23) are provided in the medial dorsal area and in the posterior lateral area, providing compression and extension in the sagittal plane. A sewered lacing arrangement is provided with the lower segment of the lacing extending with the median axis of the lacing approximately at the fourth metatarsal bone and the upper segment of the lacing being provided in the anterior area of the ankle. A light-weight tongue (38) follows the contours of the gap formed by the lacing and is connected to the lateral quarter (20) of the upper along the side thereof and at the front is anchored to a toe box (18) which has a rear edge (28) forming a parabolic outline coincident with the joints between the metatarsus and the phalanges. A footbed (54) is provided which has a deep heel cavity (53), a pronounced parabolic arch (58) and a cuboid bump (60).

Des coussinets (44, 46, 48, 50, 52) sont disposés à des endroits stratégiques à l'intérieur de la tige, sur les faces opposées du métatarsien, dans la zone de l'empeigne et autour de la cheville. Des insertions compressibles souples (21, 23), disposées dans la zone dorsale médiane et dans la zone latérale postérieure, assurent la compression et l'extension dans le plan sagittal. Une structure de laçage cousue comprend un segment inférieur, qui suit l'axe médian du laçage approximativement au niveau du quatrième métatarse, et un segment supérieur, qui est situé dans la zone antérieure de la cheville. Une languette (38) légère, suivant les contours de l'espace formé par le laçage, est reliée au quartier latéral (20) de la tige sur le côté de celle-ci et, à l'avant, est ancrée sur un bout dur (18) qui comporte un bord postérieur (28) formant un contour parabolique qui coïncide avec les articulations entre les métatarses et les phalanges. Une première moulée (54) comprend une cavité talon (53) profonde, une voûte parabolique (58) prononcée et une protubérance cuboïde (60).
