A fluid-filled chamber (40) for an article of footwear and a method for manufacturing the chamber are disclosed. The chamber may be incorporated into a sole structure (30) of the footwear and includes a central area (41) and a plurality of lobes (42a-42e) extending outward from the central area. The lobes are in fluid communication with the central area and are formed from a first surface (45), a second surface (46), and a sidewall (47). The sidewall joins with the first surface with the second surface to seal the fluid within the chamber, but no internal connections are generally utilized to join interior portions of the first surface with interior portions of the second surface. The fluid within the chamber may be air at a pressure that is approximately equal to an ambient pressure.
L'invention concerne une chambre remplie de fluide destinée à une chaussure ainsi qu'un procédé de fabrication de cette chambre. Ladite chambre peut être intégrée dans une structure de semelle de la chaussure et comprend une zone centrale et une pluralité de lobes s'étendant vers l'extérieur à partir de cette zone centrale. Les lobes sont en communication fluidique avec la zone centrale et comportent une première surface, une seconde surface et une paroi latérale. La paroi latérale relie la première surface à la seconde surface de sorte que le fluide soit enfermé hermétiquement dans la chambre, aucune liaison interne n'étant généralement utilisée pour joindre les parties intérieures de la première surface aux parties intérieures de la seconde surface.
