The present invention relates to a riser joint for a riser with a joint connecting two parts of a riser where the two parts are allowed angular displacement. According to the invention the riser joint comprises means for con-nection to the two parts of the riser at a distance from the joint, and means for adding a force between the two parts. The invention also relates to a method for reducing bend-ing moments in a riser at a connection between the riser and a subsea installation.

La présente invention se rapporte à un joint de colonne montante pour colonne montante à joint reliant deux parties dune colonne montante, les deux parties pouvant effectuer un déplacement angulaire. Selon linvention, le joint de colonne montante comprend des moyens de liaison aux deux parties de la colonne montante à une certaine distance du joint, et des moyens servant à ajouter une force entre les deux parties. Linvention se rapporte également à un procédé servant à réduire les moments de flexion dans une colonne montante sur une liaison entre la colonne montante et une installation sous-marine.
