A b s t r a c t The invention relates to a force measuring device, in particular a weighing unit, comprising at least one parallelogram guide 2, 3 worked from a one-piece block l and a bending measuring body 20, into which a force bearing on the parallelogram guide 2, 3 is introducable via a force introducing unit 22, 102. In order to be able to design such a device as low as possible and mount and encapsulate strain measuring elements in a simple way the following features are provided: a) two parallelogram guides 2, 3 worked from a one-piece block l are provided; b) there is a free space between the parallelogram guides 2, 3; c) the bending measuring body 20 is designed as an independent constructional unit and d) arranged centrally in the space between the two parallelogram guides 2, 3.
