ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a safety belt assembly which measures the amount of force exerted on the assembly and, also, the point in time when the force was exerted on the assembly. The present invention comprises a first and second plate, means for providing incremental movement of the plates, a resilient biasing means, means for indicating when a force is exerted in the assembly and means for securing the assembly to a belt and buckle.
