A protective device is provided for the free end (2) of a tine (3) of a forklift truck in order to limit and possibly obviate damage caused to product on pallets; the pallets themselves; or a surrounding structure. The protective device comprises a moulded polymeric body (1, 10) adapted to accommodate the end edge (2) of a forklift truck tine and having a forward end region operatively obscuring the end edge of the associated tine. A rearwardly extending portion (9) of the body is adapted for securing to the forklift truck tine by bonding, fasteners, or in any other suitable manner.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de protection pour l'extrémité libre (2) d'une dent (3) d'un chariot élévateur à fourche afin de limiter et d'éviter les endommagements susceptibles de se produire sur les produits placés sur les palettes, les palettes elles-mêmes ou une structure environnante. Le dispositif de protection comprend un corps polymère moulé (1, 10) adapté pour recevoir le bord d'extrémité (2) d'une dent d'un chariot élévateur à fourche et comportant une zone d'extrémité avant occultant le bord d'extrémité de la dent associée. Une partie s'étendant vers l'arrière (9) du corps est adaptée pour assurer une fixation à la dent du chariot élévateur par des éléments de fixation ou par tout autre moyen approprié.
