ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An anatomically form-fitting, generally self-adjusting disposable absorbent garment (10) comprising an outer cover (20), absorbent means (22), disposed within the outer cover (20), for absorbing and containing body fluids and other exudates. Full-length, fixed position fasteners (70, 72, 74, 76) are attached to the outer cover (20) for securing the disposable garment (10) around a wearer and providing a continuous closure (16) from the waistband (12) to the leg (14) openings, preventing gapping at the legs and sagging of the waist (18). The outer cover (20) is preferably an elastomeric nonwoven fabric that is air permeable and resiliently stretchable in at least one direction from 20 to 200%. The outer cover (20), point-to-point, full-length fastening and absorbent all coact together to provide a conformable fit and neat, trim aesthetically-pleasing appearance for added comfort and containment of bodily wastes.
