The form of the printing element differs within a report format surface. All printing elements of a printing dot have all around straight sides which have different lengths and encompass different sized angles. The clearings between adjacent printing elements have a constant width around a printing element. Due to said geometric arrangement of multishaped printing elements, namely polygons, straight lines are always obtained in any given printing dot regardless of their direction on the surface. Moiré effects are also prevented in four-color printing.
Selon l'invention, la forme de l'élément d'impression diffère à l'intérieur d'une surface de rapport. Tous les éléments d'impression d'un point d'impression présentent des côtés rectilignes mais de différentes longueurs, qui forment entre eux des angles de différentes dimensions. Les éléments de liaison entre des éléments d'impression adjacents présentent une largeur constante autour d'un élément d'impression. En raison de la configuration géométrique des éléments d'impression multiformes, à savoir des polygones, en n'importe quel point d'impression, on obtient des lignes toujours droites, quelle que soit leur direction sur la surface. L'invention permet également d'éviter la formation de moiré en quadrichromie.
