The present invention relates to a formable sandwich construction material which comprises at least two plates (1, 2) with intermediate fibres (5) which are arranged on at least one of the plates (2) by means of electrostatic deposition and the invention is characterized in that the fibres (5) consist of metallic material. The invention also includes use of the material as a construction material for vehicles, refrigerators, boats, etc.
