An housing (12) for protecting a device from water damage, which is capable of being repeatedly opened and then hermetically sealed even when the device has a wire (16) that must be extended outside of the apparatus. The housing has at least two members that, when juxtaposed and clamped, form a dry interior region. Each member includes a pair of gaskets that together define the dry interior region and substantially form a hermetic seal about a pouch or container. A portal is included through which the wire may extend from a device inside the pouch or container to the outside and a slide mechanism that adjust a gasket around the wire to maintain the dry interior region. The slide mechanism forms a hermetic seal around the wire so that the opening in the pouch (11) from which the wire extends is hermetically sealed. If no wire is present, the slide mechanism may be adjusted to maintain the hermetic seal.

L'invention concerne un corps servant à protéger un dispositif contre les dommages provoqués par l'eau, qui peut être ouvert de manière répétée puis fermé hermétiquement lorsque le dispositif comporte un fil électrique devant être déployé à l'extérieur du dispositif. Le corps comporte au moins deux éléments qui, une fois juxtaposés et fixés par serrage, forment une région intérieure sèche. Chaque élément comprend deux éléments d'étanchéité qui définissent ensemble la région sèche et forment sensiblement un joint hermétique autour d'un sachet ou d'un contenant. Ce dernier comprend un accès par lequel le fil électrique se déploie vers l'extérieur depuis le dispositif, placé à l'intérieur du sachet ou du contenant, et un mécanisme coulissant permet d'ajuster un élément d'étanchéité autour du fil afin de maintenir la région intérieure sèche. Le mécanisme coulissant forme un joint hermétique autour du fil électrique de manière à fermer hermétiquement l'ouverture du sachet, par laquelle le fil électrique se déploie. Si le dispositif est dépourvu de fil électrique, on peut régler le mécanisme coulissant afin de maintenir le joint hermétique.
