A method of forming a geologic model of a subsurface region is disclosed. Data re-lated to the subsurface region is obtained. A frame-work is constructed to represent the subsurface re-gion. A template is selected from a plurality of tem-plates. The selected template provides at least one property that is characteristic of the subsurface re-gion. The selected template is inserted into the framework, to form the geologic model. The geolog-ic model is then outputted.
On décrit un procédé de formation dun modèle géologique dune région du sous-sol, comportant les étapes suivantes : des données liées à la région de sous-sol sont obtenues ; un maillage est construit pour représenter la région de sous-sol ; une matrice est choisie parmi une pluralité de matrices, la matrice sélectionnée donnant au moins une propriété caractéristique de la région de sous-sol ; la matrice sélectionnée est insérée dans le maillage pour former le modèle géologique, qui est alors émis en sortie.
