A method for forming openings in a hydrocarbon containing formation is described. A plurality of magnets is provided along a portion of a first opening. A second opening in the formation is formed using magnetic tracking of the series of magnetic fields. The second opening may be spaced a desired distance from the first opening.
La présente invention concerne un procédé qui permet de former une ou plusieurs ouvertures dans une formation contenant des hydrocarbures. Le procédé de l'invention consiste à former ou constituer une première ouverture dans la formation. On peut disposer une pluralité d'aimants à l'intérieur de la première ouverture. La pluralité d'aimants peuvent être placés le long d'une partie de la première ouverture. La pluralité d'aimants peuvent produire une série de champs magnétiques le long de la partie précitée de la première ouverture. On peut former une seconde ouverture dans la formation en faisant appel à un suivi magnétique de la série de champs magnétiques précités. La seconde ouverture peut être placée à une distance désirée de la première ouverture.
