Disclosed is an improvement in the analysis for an analyte in a urine test sample in which the urine is contacted with a labeled antibody specific to the analyte and the concentration of the analyte is determined by measuring the response from the label. The improvement involves maintaining the concentration of urea in the test sample above the threshold value which value is the concentration of urea at which increases in the urea concentration do not affect the accuracy of the assay such as by interfering with the binding between the analyte and the labeled antibody.

Divulgation concernant une amélioration de l'analyse d'un composé dans un échantillon d'urine; l'urine est mise en contact avec l'anticorps marqué, spécifique au composé à analyser, la concentration de ce dernier étant déterminée par la mesure des résultats donnés par le marqueur. L'amélioration consiste à maintenir la concentration de l'urée dans l'échantillon au-dessus d'une valeur seuil, qui est la concentration de l'urée à laquelle des augmentations de ladite concentration n'influent pas sur la précision de l'analyse, notamment par interférence avec la liaison entre le composé à analyser et l'anticorps marqué.
