The present invention features pharmaceutical formulations containing a lipophilic compound. The lipophilic compound is solubilized in solution containing alcohol (i.e. ethanol) and a surfactant. The solubilized compound can then be further dissolved in a pharmaceutically acceptable aqueous solution, such as WFI (water for injection), D5W (5 % dextrose in water), and D5W 1/2 N saline, to form a pharmaceutical formulation suitable for patient administration. The formulation is preferably used for parenteral administration.

L'invention porte sur des formulations pharmaceutiques contenant un composé lipophile. Celui-ci est dissous dans une solution contenant un alcool (de l'éthanol, par exemple) et un agent tensioactif. Ce composé, une fois dissous, peut l'être une nouvelle fois dans une solution aqueuse acceptable du point de vue pharmaceutique, telle que WFI (eau pour injections), D5W (solution aqueuse de dextrose à 5 %) et D5W 1/2 N sérum physiologique, afin de constituer une formulation pharmaceutique pouvant être administrée à un patient.
