The invention relates to the use of polymers which can be obtained by radical polymerisation of a) at least one vinyl ester of C1-C24-carboxylic acids in the presence of b) compounds containing polyether and c) optionally, one or more other copolymerisable monomers, followed by the at least partial saponification of the ester functions of the original monomers a), in formulations of hair cosmetics.
