A piston converter (4) for a fountain pen (2) that permits a user to selectively engage the drive mechanism to the converter is disclosed. The converter has a hollow body (6) fluidly connected to a nib of the pen at one end and a plunger assembly (8) slidably disposed therein. The plunger assembly is engaged to a hollow drive rod (14). An engagement rod (16) with a first end and an engagement end extends into the drive rod. The drive rod has an internal cavity configured to engage the engagement end of the engagement rod. The engagement end of the engagement rod can be selectively moved into or out of the engagement cavity, thereby permitting selective engagement of the drive mechanism for the piston converter.
La présente invention concerne un convertisseur (4) à piston destiné à un stylo à encre (2) qui permet à un utilisateur d'emboîter sélectivement le mécanisme d'entraînement dans ce convertisseur. Ce convertisseur possède un corps creux (6) fluidiquement connecté à une plume de ce stylo au niveau d'une extrémité et un ensemble (8) piston positionné coulissant dans ce corps. Cet ensemble piston est emboîté dans une tige d'entraînement creuse (14). Une tige d'emboîtement (16) avec une première extrémité et une extrémité d'emboîtement est placée dans cette tige d'entraînement. Cette tige d'entraînement possède une cavité intérieure agencée de façon à permettre l'emboîtement de l'extrémité d'emboîtement de la tige d'emboîtement. Cette extrémité d'emboîtement de la tige d'emboîtement peut être sélectivement déplacée dans cette cavité d'emboîtement ou hors de celle-ci, permettant ainsi un emboîtement sélectif du mécanisme d'entraînement de ce convertisseur à piston.
